This is the question we want the answer to from any professional that we’re about to hire. Will she get me? Whether it’s our hair dresser – very important. Or our Doctor – also very important. Being able to communicate our desires, wishes and outcome is of utmost importance. Unfortunately, we don’t always have the words or vocabulary of a profession and perhaps we’re at a loss for ways to describe our desired outcome.
That’s where professionalism comes in of any expert in their field. Being able to ask the right questions, listen attentively to the answer and interpret it into an art form. I know for me when I consult with a client about their design needs I’m listening to what they say, what they don’t say and any body language that I can observe. I’m looking for the part of the conversation that lights her up and gets her excited even if it’s just a flash in her eyes or a glance at a beloved antique across the room.
My goal in all of my designs is to induce an emotional response, a memory touchpoint, a squeal of excitement, or just a nod of approval that says, “Yes, she gets me!” or for instance when a client tours our model homes, “Oh, I could live here!”
My team and I just installed seven models at the new Neal Communities Windward.
And I couldn’t be more proud of my girls. We worked to make each home reflect a different home buyer with a personality all to it’s own and I’m thrilled at the work we’ve done to reach our potential customers through our designs, even down to the smallest details.
